Technical Courses Provided in 9th -12th Grade

Popular Technical Courses After 10th

The technical courses provided after the SEE are Pre-Diploma Courses and Technical School Leaving Certificate (TSLC) Courses. Students who have scored at least 68.66 percent in SEE and CTEVT, as well as Damak Technical Education Foundation (DTEF), offer various TSLC courses. Jiri Technical School, KTM Technical School, Shreyantra College, and other educational institutions provide TSLC courses.

The TSLC courses are usually 18 months long for uniformity however there are TSLC courses like Textile Sericulture which last for 3+1 years and the eligibility for the course is having passed 8th grade. Technical courses in Nepal offered before diploma or bachelor courses could range anywhere from 18 months, to 27 months, and a whole of 4 years depending on the curriculum.

Usually, the courses will be completed within 18 months and an additional 6 months of the job training. CTEVT Technical Courses In Nepal

Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, constituted in 2045 B.S. is an autonomous body that offers over 400 technical courses and vocational training in Nepal. CTEVT technical courses are offered in collaboration with the different educational institutes of Nepal. It also establishes policies, plans, programs, and various projects like Sakshyamta to enhance the quality of technical education and vocational training and make it accessible to everyone in the country.

CTEVT offers a total of 76 diploma courses, comprised of 28 engineering courses, * agriculture, 7 management or humanities, 31 phasing out curriculum technical courses and the rest include courses in hospitality and forestry. These diploma courses require at least 45% in 10+2 or equivalent. These diploma programs last generally for 3-6 years, depending on each course’s curriculum. CTEVT offers pre-diploma and TSLC programs in addition to diploma courses.

There are a total of 33 CTEVT technical courses under the pre-diploma or TSLC program, primarily consisting of engineering, health, apprenticeship, and agriculture programs. It also offers short technical courses called short-term courses and vocational training. There are a total of 339 courses in short technical courses including specialized and occupational courses that include tourism, pedagogy, mining, tailoring, law, human rights, etc. which are exclusive to short-term courses.
